Omega-3 hits the Big Time

We have been using omega-3 fats in our cardiovascular patients since the Seekers Centre began. Their benefit in treating blood vessels and electrical conduction in the heart have been established beyond doubt in huge clinical trials.

War on Cancer

This dispatch comes from the food court of the San Francisco Airport, my senses overwhelmed. The scents of dishes from a dozen nations intermingle as in a modern-day bazaar. Having just survived the deal of check-in and airport security, people come here to pause and take a breath before they head to their gates for the airborne part of their journeys. It is a hub within a hub, a cross-section of America.

Meningitis and acupuncture

I saw a young boy in the ER last week whose parents brought him in for a headache. He was a bit tired and cranky and had been complaining for two days. His temperature was normal when he came in, but it had been measured with an ear thermometer; when I asked a nurse to measure it rectally, it turned out he had a fever.
