The Seekers Centre for Integrative Medicine is looking for a Holistic Nutritionist to join our established team of medical and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioners. We work with people who have cancer, cardiovascular disease and chronic pain and fatigue to reduce symptoms, restore health and improve quality of life with treatment plans that address the root causes of illness and restore balance in the body.
Your clinical skills will be focused mostly on individual patient consultations to guide them toward healthier eating habits. You will help them establish diets that include organic, raw, alkaline and traditional foods that are tailored to food allergies and specialized needs, including anticancer diets, anti-inflammatory diets and therapeutic fasting. This will include a structured approach to evaluating current diet, setting goals, menu planning, food selection, shopping strategies, meal preparation and social and emotional barriers to better eating.
Your interpersonal skills should enable you to deliver an exceptional patient experience. This includes establishing rapport and a real connection with patients through authentic verbal and non-verbal communication, and working with other practitioners on our team to ensure seamless patient care and contribute to our healing environment.
Your professional attitude should be based on a strong desire to build a practice that is a model of success. This requires a strong work ethic and a consistent commitment to managing your own practice. It includes establishing internet links to your professional section of our website, relationships with referring practitioners in the community and a willingness to offer seminars, workshops or written materials that support your practice and provide patients with real value. These will be your job, but our team will guide you and help you do them well.
To apply for this position, please send your CV and a detailed cover letter to clarrivee@seekerscentre.com with the subject heading "Holistic Nutritionist".
